This is a cuisine that does not overdo things but carefully balances them. It does not hide behind heavy sauces\u2014on the contrary, its power lies in simplicity.<\/p>\n In Lebanon, there is an unwritten rule: if someone invites you to lunch, refusing is considered almost as an insult. It is said that even if you tell them, you have already eaten, they will serve you even more\u2014not because you are hungry, but because that is how they show respect and welcome.<\/p>\n In many Lebanese homes, the table is not set only for family members.
